Located near Brookings are the wild and scenic Chetco River, the Kalmiopsis Wilderness, and the Siskiyou National Forest. All offer ideal vantage points to watch the wildlife. Or travel north along the coast and check out the marine life.
Black bears, elk, eagles, osprey are just a sampling of the wildlife we have here along the coast and further inland. Don't forget tidepooling in the many State Parks along the Pacific Coast during low tide.
