Riley Ranch Campground

Update: Bridge construction over the train tracks to the dunes is complete! Access to the dunes is open.

Riley Ranch County Park is located at milepost 227 on US Highway 101 just west of the community of Hauser, Oregon and 6 miles north of North Bend, Oregon. Riley Ranch is adjacent to the Oregon Dunes National Recreational Area.

The campground currently consists of 50 campsites (all are reservable) with water and electrical hookups, and two 16’ x 20’ camping cabins. One restroom facility has been constructed and more are planned. Expansion of the 'A' loop and construction of the 'C' loop is expected to be completed in 2012. A second set of restrooms, between these two loops, is expected to be built during the summer of 2012, supplementing the existing one. There are currently 42 campsites roughed in and available for overflow until the utilities are installed. When completed, Riley Ranch will be able to accommodate both ATV (dune buggy, quad) and Equestrian groups.

There are no immediate plans to have a RV sanitary dump in this campground. There is one available 4 miles away at Tenmile Lake County Park.

The day use area consists of a large gravel parking area which provides access to an OHV riding area with trails and jumps. Plans include riding areas for both youth and adults along with an ATV learning center to provide instruction for the new riders. The 135-acre site is open to all three classes of ATV vehicles. While construction continues, the day use area may be intermittently closed.

The 30 acre Butterfield Lake borders the northern part of the campground and provides a fishing opportunity for campers and day users alike. The lake currently has bass, crappie, perch, and trout. The lake will be on ODW&F’s stocking program and be receiving trout several times a year. The lake will be open to boats but will be limited in size and restricted to electric rolling motors only.
